Loan Information

There are many types of loans used at the Yale School of Medicine to help students fund their educations. The Federal Stafford Loan, Graduate Plus Loans and Private Lender Loans are provided through a variety of lenders.  Not all lenders have information on the web. If you don't see your lender listed here, enter the name into one of the major search engines such as Google or Yahoo.

The Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Graduate Plus Loans and Private Lender Loans require a promissory note from the lender. The Perkins Loan, Loans for Disadvantaged Students, and Yale Loans require a signed promissory note. Yale will provide promissory notes to any student who has received one of these loans in their financial aid award.
